Narrative: This studio called for the design of a Visitors & Media Center for the United Nations. My project focused on altering the frames through which people perceive and experience the image the United Nation, while dealing with constraints of post-9/11 security measures. The building physically separates the three main user groups (the visitors, the protestors, and the news media), but allows the groups to indirectly influence and augment each other’s perception of the Institution.

Narrative: The HQ for the Biomimcry Institute was desiged as a tangible representation of the written Masters Thesis. The thesis argued that the continued advancement in additive 3-D manufacturing technologies will lead architectural design back to nature when custom and standard components reach cost parity. It will bring about ability to mimic the highly complex, yet materially economic, structural systems found in nature, and allow for holistic systems integration.
